eufy Error 5 — Robot trapped
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Wedged under low furniture MOST COMMON
Sofas and beds barely taller than the robot let it in, then pin the body or laser turret on the way out.
Boxed in by clutter or cables
Chair legs, toys and loose cords close around the robot until no exit path remains.
Same spot traps it every mission
A recurring trap zone is best fenced off with a no-go zone in the eufy Clean app or a boundary strip on strip-compatible models.
HOW TO FIX IT
Rescue the robot
Lift it out of the tight spot and clear the obstacles that closed around it.
Restart on open floor
Set it down on flat, open floor and start the clean again.
Fence off repeat offenders
If the robot keeps trapping itself in the same place, add a no-go zone in the app or block the spot physically.
