Roomba Error 11 — Insufficient airflow
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Blocked fan inlet or exhaust MOST COMMON
Debris lodged in the scroll housing chokes airflow even with a clean filter.
Filter overdue for replacement
A saturated filter restricts air enough to trip the sensor.
Failing vacuum fan UNCOMMON
When the airway is clear and the error stays, the fan assembly itself is the fault.
HOW TO FIX IT
Do full bin and filter care
Empty the bin, tap out or replace the filter, and check the bin's airflow port for blockages.
Inspect the fan and scroll
Look into the vacuum inlet and exhaust for wedged debris. Blast both with compressed air.
Reboot and run a short job
Hold CLEAN to reboot, then test. A repeat error with a clear airway means the module needs replacement.
